I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Business cum laude from Oregon State University in 1995 (Accounting with a minor in Pre-Law) and have been preparing tax returns ever since.  I am licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (#10846) in the state of Oregon.
When I'm not working (meaning in June, July & August) I love to spend time with my family, hopefully outdoors, and ideally on a beach in a tropical location.  My two children, Zack (14) and Abbi (12) keep me busy year round and are a source of constant delight and humor.  I love football (especially OSU Beavers), tech gadgets, music, the Trailblazers, Hawaii, ancient Mayan ruins, the Internet, bright colors and ice cream.  :-)
Over the last 17 years I have developed valuable experience from my work history that has given me insight into the best tax strategies available to individuals and small businesses.  I have worked as an auditor for Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Portland, a financial analyst for Intel Corp. in DuPont (WA), an accountant for a property management co. in San Jose, and finally as controller for a high-tech start-up in Portland.
Once my youngest child started school I decided to focus my efforts on building my tax practice, since it brings me the most satisfaction. My husband Erik has been employed at Intel for over 15 years, and this has allowed me to develop a complete understanding of employee stock purchase plans and stock option taxation. Further experience with residential rentals and small businesses have allowed me to create a niche in assisting clients and small businesses reduce their tax burden.
JOANNA WILBUR
TERI ANDERSEN
Wildboar Tax is very lucky to have Teri Andersen, whom I was able to lure away from a bigger firm with the promise of a low-key atmosphere, lots of laughs and a very short commute (she lives next door).  Teri is essential to our practice and keeps things moving.  She is on the “front lines” managing the telephone, the scheduling and coordination of the many ins and outs of a full service tax and accounting firm.  She has good insight into financial issues due to her prior banking industry career and is very patient.
For fun, she likes hanging out with her husband and family, attending Supernatural (the TV show) conventions, traveling and going out to lunch.  She has two children, Luke, who is a senior in high school and Claudia, a sophomore. Also an avid Blazer fan, she enjoy the wins and commiserates over the losses in our office.  One of the things that she enjoys about her job is the opportunity to “live vicariously” through our clients.
JACK
Jack came to our family a few months after Kelly, our much loved black lab, passed away.  Still technically a puppy at 20 months, our 76 lb. chocolate lab has fit right in. Jack replaces Kelly as head of security, but he has a very different approach: stealthy intimidation.  Unless you are entering unauthorized, he’s mellow. His greatest joy in life is being with people.  He thinks he’s a lap dog and is a bit slobbery, so if you want to visit with Jack during your appointment, you’ll need to request it specifically.  He definitely thinks he should be the center of your attention, not me!
I can’t make it through tax season without extra help, so I’m very grateful to my temporary staff.  While they assist in calculating the returns, I review every single tax return to ensure that our office has prepared the most advantageous tax return possible.   Yukie Oester is a Licensed Tax Preparer in the state of Oregon.  Fon Anderson graduated from Portland State with a degree in Accounting and is working towards his CPA license.  With their help I get regular sleep and a fresh mind to work on tax returns.
